Susan and I go back a few years..more like 14 years now! As a dear friend, she was the one I called in for the birth of my son after two days of a difficult induction. She was there simply as my friend and a support system. She witnessed the birth of our first child. In the days that followed, she helped with nursing issues and various questions of a first time mom. Her experience as a mother of five came in handy and her special love for children and the entire "new mom" phase made it a memorable time in my life, so much so, I called her for some help during the labor of my second child. She has a calming spirit rooted in a deep love and concern for others that comes through in the way she helps when called upon. If you are considering a doula or some assistance post partum, I highly recommend her services. It's been almost 10 years since I had my first child, and I'm sure since then, she has gained more experience and it would bring her much joy to share that with you.
